Out Of Character: Bilbo Bloggins Is Behind And Looking For Adventure
Today’s blog entry is going to be relatively short.
I would typically have shared my July FIRE Metrics That Matter results with you by now, but I have not even begun to look at them.
I have not assessed how I did on my Zeroscape Game objectives. I have not done a snapshot of my July end-of-month financials and net worth.
I am basically behind on everything.
There was a lot of rich information and insight that I gained from the Northwest Tarot Symposium this past weekend, and I am still processing it.
It has me hooked, and that is where my energy has been—and still is—going.
By tomorrow, the fifth of the month, I need to complete my July assessment, build my August budget, and set my August goal intentions.
But for today, let me just give you a few highlights of what is likely to come over the next week or so.
I will likely write articles about specific workshops, exercises, and takeaways. There were at least six or seven key events and exciting moments tied to the conference that I am considering exploring. Most likely, I’ll cover many of them over the next week or two.
However, I might also—or instead—write some deeper articles exploring the symbolism that emerged from these workshop experiences and moments.
Here are some of the more significant themes I am referring to:
Spiritual animal encounters. There were many, and it was wild.
My personal myths and how they tie into my identity and post-FIRE life.
Insights about my values and the core identity I want to operate from going forward.
Numerological and astrological life path insights related to tarot.
Vocational direction and insights that may shape future actions.
Insights and clues that will help me decide on the next steps for implementing my Back On Campus lifestyle strategy.
Yesterday, I was up until 10:00 p.m. or later processing each significant event and experience from the conference. That helped me better understand what I had experienced and how those insights might be useful as I make current and future decisions.
But symbolism and intuition can only take you so far.
These insights do not provide tactical knowledge or direction by themselves. So today, I have been diving into that side of the equation in more detail.
It’s an exciting time, and I am filled with renewed energy and optimism about the future.
Well, I’ve got to go.
There is a quest with my name on it, and I am ready for the adventure.
